Black Fire project suspended
Black Fire Minerals (ASX:BFE) in an update in relation to the Kangeshi Copper Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo says that on Thursday it was advised by the Project Manager, Rift Valley Minerals, that Rift had received an unexpected letter from the DRC Ministry of Mines instructing the immediate suspension of all exploration activities on the Kangeshi licence pending the potential establishment of a new "forestry nursery" within the Kundelungu Plateau area. Rift has advised that as it understands it, the letter is not a cancellation of the Kangeshi licence.

AJMAN - The project management office of the Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) organised its first specialised training course in project management recently. The course was held for five weeks and was attended by seven participants from AUST and Khalid Salman from Human Logic. The lecturer was Tarik Al- Hraki, project analyst. The training course was aimed at participants taking an exam in specialised project management. US firm wins deal for $300m Saudi soda ash plant
Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a contract to provide engineering and project management services for the construction of a $300m soda ash and calcium chloride production facility in Saudi Arabia.The contract for the facility was awarded by IDEA Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride Company (ISACC) and will be built in Jubail's Second Industrial City.The commissioning production run is scheduled to start by end of 2014 and commercial operations are expected to follow in the first quarter of 2015.Officials did not disclose the contract value,? but added in a statement that the facility is the first of its kind in the kingdom and the GCC to produce soda ash (sodium carbonate) and calcium chloride.
